Winding Down

I hesitate to say that once again the Cedar Key Small Boat Meet and Messabout was the best ever.  It seems each year tops the previous.  This year we went back to the unscripted nature of our celebration of small boats, nature and the fellowship that develops spontaneously in this highly evocative environment.  The serene elements of nature, wind and the sea enjoyed from the perspective of the small boater makes this an ideal place to recharge our spirits, share our perspectives and be enriched spiritually by our common interests.

It’s Monday, May 4, 2009.  And as I contemplate the wonders of this place, I fervently hope that it continues as a laid back seaside village that values its natural assets and welcomes those of us who wish to share in its bounties.  As small boaters, we tread lightly on our sacred environment.  Our boats are our magic carpets taking us to our favorite vistas, bringing us close to the nature that we all love.

Here is a cornucopia of Cedar Key pictures
